Pump Training
OWWCO CEU Approved Pump Training Program
This course is designed to provide the operators of water and waste water treatment plants a better understanding of how a pump operates. The operator will study pump curves and system curves and how they react with one another and how they affect pumping equipment.
Ideally the operator will also leave with the ability to work with maintenance and engineering to improve pump life and operation efficiency. Each participant leaves this course with an understanding of pumps, pumping systems and the various types of pumps they work with every day.
The understanding comes from the use of our unique presentation method for the theory, combined with the practical “hands on” aspects of this course. The participant leaves with a reference workbook for future use.
Topics Covered Include:
- Introduction to Hydraulics
- Pump & System Curves
- Loads Placed on a Pump
- Sump Dynamics with Multiple VTP’s Installed
- Pump Assembly and Disassembly Techniques
- Mechanical Seal Operations and Assemblies
- Seal Flush Plans and their Purpose
