Vogelsang DisRuptor

More Efficiency through Mechanical Disintegration

With a variable function unit, the Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000 provides energy-efficient mechanical disintegration. Hydraulic support makes the Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000 head easy to maneuver upwards, giving entry to the function unit for service or maintenance. Individually adjust the distance between the external ring and the blades to each substrate without special tools in just a few easy steps. The rings and wings can be realigned to avoid the wear of these parts, allowing for a longer service life.

Benefits of the Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000

  • Decreases and homogenizes the viscosity of the organic suspension
  • Expands the surface of the biomass feed
  • Increases and advances in gas production
  • Decreases the energy used by mixers and pumps
  • Easy to retrofit

Mechanical Disintegration results in Reduced Internal Energy Consumption and Optimization of Gas Yield

The Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000 effectively combats frequent problems caused by switching biogas plants to low-cost and structured biomass. In the long term, the biomass used for cost reduction minimizes the gas yield and increases the internal energy consumption or formation of floating layers. The output from the biogas plant and its overall efficiency decreases.

Mechanical disintegration of structured biomass breaks down and damages the secure and challenging to degrade components. During this process, the Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000 increases the surface and thus the target for the bacteria. Treatment with Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000 allows agricultural by-products and substrates to be fermented, which would otherwise be unprofitable to use or result in minimal profits. For example, this includes dung, woody grass, maintenance cuts from pastureland or landscaping material.

The viscosity of the organic suspension is reduced, the power consumption and runtimes of the mixers decrease, and the specific gas yield increases as the biomass is used and converted because of the mechanical disintegration. This process increases revenue, reduces costs and significantly improves the efficiency of the biogas plant in the end. The Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000 is easy to integrate or retrofit to existing biogas plants. It can be used in many areas, e.g. in front downstream of the liquid feeding system or as part of the digester recirculation system.

Mechanical Disintegration: How the Vogelsang DisRuptor DR7000 works

Organic suspension enters the Vogelsang DisRuptor pot from the side and flows into the middle of the function unit. A rotor with six wings then turns at a high frequency. As fluid passes through the openings on the casing surfaces of the function unit, solids in the organic suspensions, such as straw and grass, are broken down and ground in a small gap between the outer Vogelsang DisRuptor ring and the Vogelsang DisRuptor wings.

Bacteria are more comprehensively and quickly transformed into biogas by the increased target and breakdown of challenging to reduce structures. This breakdown increases the gas yield in the long term. Furthermore, the organic suspension's decreased viscosity minimizes the mixers' energy and runtimes.
