The sleeve type soft sealing plug valves are suitable for use in various kinds of pipelines with working conditions from Class 150 to Class 600 and working temperature of -29˚C~+150˚C in such industries as petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, fertilizer, and power plant etc. to cut off or turn on the flow medium in the pipelines.
Main Features
- The inlet and outlet bores structure is designed to offer double sealing grooves with sealing rings. This design feature creates a gradient of sealing pressure ratio between sealing parts during the rotation of the plug until the fully open or fully close position is reached and the pressure between sealing parts ensures zero leakage.
- The structure of double sealing grooves with sealing rings ensures the PTFE liner does not move inside the valve body and can also absorb the small distortion of the liner due to the temperature change. The reduced friction between the liner and the plug improves the service life of the sealing surfaces.
- The design of the top assembly of the plug shaft, with the PTFE membrane, an O-ring and the gasket, allows for adjusting the pressure ratio between sealing surfaces to easily rotate the plug while ensuring the leakage tightness of both the outlet and the middle flanges.
- The complete sealing process can be managed effectively independently of the pressure inside the pipeline.
- Standard sleeve material is PTFE. Different filling material can be adopted for the sleeve depending on the application temperature and medium to increase the service life of the valve.
