Custom Spray Nozzle Solutions – Special Connection Bete SpiralAir

Situation: A Bete customer needed to fit a 1″ Bete SpiralAir (SA) lance through a 2″ schedule 80 pipe opening. The opening on the pipe could be as small as 1.821″. The widest dimension across the face of the nozzle was 2.308″. The customer wished to do as much of the fabrication of the lance as they could themselves. The lance needed to have a liquid supply line connection that provided easy assembly.

Solution: Bete Applications Engineers designed a special small diameter SpiralAir nozzle with a turned down hex and welded an end cover to eliminate the cover-retaining nut. The nozzle would be installed with a pipe wrench. A special liquid delivery tube was also designed with a 3/8″ NPT connection instead of a slip joint and O-ring.
