Habitat for Humanity

Our company generously donated pumps with E-One towards a Habitat for Humanity project in Milton, Ontario. These pumps went towards a house that will be the future home of two deserving families in need.

In addition to our donation, 24 John Brooks employees also participated in “Build Days” to help with the physical construction of the house. These 24 volunteers helped with the plumbing, duct work, basement insulation and the construction of an outdoor deck. All of this in the 30-degree weather! We arrived at the site at 8:30 AM, were taken through the safety precautions, and instructed on how to perform our various tasks by trained contractors. For many people, many of the things taught were brand new, but everyone was eager to learn. The teamwork John Brooks’ employees exuded was truly a pleasure to see. Our 24 volunteers were keen to do as much as possible, whether skipping snack breaks or making the contractors stay a little later so we could finish our tasks!
